Ice spoke into the glowing stone as soon as the image of his mother appeared. The older she-werewolf had long black hair, and light blue eyes like her son. "Mother, I saw a flier from Aria's pet shop offering puppies for adoption," Ice began, before his mother interrupted him.
"I'm not having any little babies running around in our pack's den," she said.
"No, I mean, I'm going to raise him by myself."
"You're only going to keep a puppy if you can be responsible for it," said Ice's mother. "But you have to take it back if you neglect it!" she snapped.
"But mother..." Ice stammered. "I can take care of him, I promise."
"I would hope so, you are somewhat responsible for being fourteen, unlike your fellow cousins."
